Description:
The Family and Estate of David Duff brought sued Mike Spearman, the owner of the Turbine Design TD-2 aircraft that was involved in the plane crash that resulted in the deaths of Duff and Terry Willis at George R. Carr Memorial Air Field near Bogalusa, Louisiana in 2005. Plaintiffs claimed that negligent maintenance of the aircraft was the cause of the accident which went from an idle-power, nose-down attitude to a full power, nose-up attitude prior to the aircraft hitting the ground. Eyewitnesses reported that the aircraft rolled to the left before diving to the ground.
Defendant claimed that the sole cause of the accident was pilot error.
