James Anderson was accused of killing his wife.
James Anderson was charged in 2023 with murdering his wife, Victoria Anderson, in Kingwood. He was arrested by the Houston Police Department after a standoff. At the time of today’s court appearance, Anderson was out on a $300,000 bond and was in court to make a plea on the murder charge. Shortly after arriving in court, Anderson experienced a medical emergency. A bailiff for the court administered naloxone before EMS arrived. He was transported by the Houston Fire Department to Ben Taub hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:05 am. At the time of the incident, Anderson was set to agree to be sentenced to 35 years in prison as part of a plea deal.
