The State of Tennessee charged Cory Batey, age 22, with 3 counts of aggravated sexual battery, 2 counts of attempted aggravated rape, and facilitation of aggravated rape for having sex with an the unconscious 24-year-old victim in a Vanderbilt University dorm in 2013.



Batey testified on his own behalf and said that he did not remember the incident because he had been drinking.
