Brian Knight, David Dudley and Michael Dudley sued J.B. Hunt and Flannery and Son for injuries and damages they sustained as a result of being hit by a J.B. Hunt semi-tractor trailer rig and then a Flannery and Son rig on I-40 in Madison County Tennessee after they had to stop the pickup in which they were traveling because of construction on the highway. Their pickup was sideswiped by the J.B. Hunt truck and then rear-ended by a truck owned by Flannery and Sons. The pickup and the semi that rear-ended it both caught fire. The plaintiffs were hospitalized with severe injuries.
