Description:

Family of Erica Lynn Bellamy sued Christopher David Jones and Wanda Jones on a wrongful death theory for the death of Erica, age 3, who was killed when the car in which she was a passenger was hit by a car being driven high rate of speed by Christopher who was allegedly trying to kill himself in a suicide pact with his girlfriend.

Christopher was convicted of manslaughter and was sentenced to 16 years in prison.

The defenses asserted are not available.

Plaintiff's verdict for $755,000 in actual damages and $10.2 million in punitive damages against Christopher and $5,000 against Wanda Jones.
