Family and Estate of Tiffany Charlene DeWitt, age 21, sued Dominic Michael Gingrich for the death of Ms. DeWitt. The plaintiff alleged that Gingrich was drunk and has used marijuana before the fatal accident. DeWitt was killed when her mid-sized car was struck by a sport utility vehicle around 11:40 p.m. June 20 2004. DeWitt has just gotten off of work at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg and was on her way home. Her car was hit broadside on the driver's side and she was killed instantly.
