Former Washington Resident Sentenced to More Than Five Years in Prison for Narcotics and Firearms Violations Tuesday, March 5, 2024

United States District Judge Christy Criswell Wiegand imposed the sentence on Tecko Tartt, 37.



As a result of a long-term wiretap investigation, federal agents searched Tartt's residence on May 31, 2021, and seized a loaded handgun, 216 bundles of fluorofentanyl, two bags of cocaine, and $20,932 in United States currency.



Assistant United States Attorney Jonathan D. Lusty prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.



United States Attorney Olshan commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Pennsylvania State Police, and Perryopolis Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Tartt.



This prosecution is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation. OCDETF identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations that threaten the United States by using a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach that leverages the strengths of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies against criminal networks.

Defendant was found guilty and sentenced to 65 months of incarceration followed by two years of supervised release
