United States of America v. Kurtis Lee Solomon

Beginning on a date unknown and continuing up to and including September 9, 2021, Kurtis Lee Solomon, formerly of Fernley, Nevada, knowingly and repeatedly accessed child pornography websites over the internet and viewed child sexual abuse material that included preteens and babies. Solomon had admitted to having websites containing child pornography saved to his internet browser’s “Favorites.” Solomon was arrested on April 17, 2022, and remained in custody until April 19, 2022.

First Assistant United States Attorney Sigal Chattah for the District of Nevada made the announcement.

This case was investigated by the Department of Homeland Security Investigations with assistance from the Sparks Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Lyon County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Andrew Keenan prosecuted the case.

the Defendant was found guilty on on Count 2 of the Superseding Indictment filed 5/23/2024 (ECF No. [91]). Count 1 of the Superseding Indictment is dismissed without prejudice On the motion of the United States. Defendant committed to the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons for a total term of TIME SERVED . Supervised Release for TEN YEARS. $100 Assessment. Restitution to be determined. $100 AVAA Assessment. The determination of restitution is deferred until March 3, 2026. An Amended Judgment in a Criminal Case (AO 245C) will be entered after such determination. Lump sum payment of $200 is due immediately. Forfeiture.
