Plaintiff alleged that Canal violated a Mississippi statute that required it to recommend that the owner of an insured vehicle purchase uninsured motorist coverage on his vehicles equal to the liability limits on the vehicle. Charles Morgan purchased the minimum limits on each of his tucks. His pregnant daughter was killed in an accident when her car was struck by a man who was drag racing on a Fayette, Mississippi street in 1995. Cassandra Lashay Morgan and her unborn child both died as a result of the accident.

Settled for $440,000 after the jury returned a $10 million verdict.
