Description:
Wafa-a Elmahdi filed Petition for Wrongful Death alleging that Ethridge was careless and negligent in operating the automobile that struck her husband's (Kamal Elnimeri) car and that Ethridge's negligence directly caused her husband's death. Kamal's vehicle was apparently stopped and sitting cross-wise in the innermost lane of Interstate 29 near the Kansas City airport when it was struck by Ethridge's during pre-dawn hours of 04/20/93. There were no street lights in the area. The only witness to the accident said Kamal's car was dark, had no lights on, and there were no street flares in the road.

Jury found Ethridge 0% at fault, and also found Kamal 0% at fault.
