The Commonwealth of Massachusetts charged Lonzo Guthie with first-degree murder as a result of the death of Eileen Ferro in 1974.



Mrs. Ferro was found dead in her home in Shrewsbury on February 22, 1974. The Commonwealth produced evidence that the victim died from "sharp force injures of the head and neck," including severance of her carotid artery.
