Fernando Cortez, age 30, was charged with first-degree murder for killing his girlfriend, Sandra Aldridge, in 2020.



The State claimed that Cortez stated that he stabbed his "wife" 3 or 4 times because she had COVID.



Aldridge was found naked with multiple cuts to her neck and hands. She was also missing her left leg from above the knee.
