A Lexington man, Adam Pursifull, 40, was indicted for possession of a firearm as a prohibited person.
Adam Pursifull was arrested on an outstanding parole warrant. During the arrest and a search, officers located a loaded firearm in Pursifull's possession. Pursifull had previously been convicted by the Fayette Circuit Court of trafficking in a controlled substance first degree, in May 2014, and was prohibited from possessing a firearm.
The investigation was conducted by ATF, U.S Marshal's Service, and the Kentucky Department of Corrections. Assistant U.S. Attorney Cynthia Rieker prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.
