Cameron Hyatt, 30, was sentenced to 1 year and 5 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for one count of providing false information and hoaxes and three counts of assaulting, resisting, or impeding an officer and employee of the United States. Hyatt was also ordered to pay $11,201.70 in restitution.
On April 17, 2023, Hyatt threatened to bomb an Internal Revenue Service processing facility where he previously worked as a contract employee. Additionally, on April 20, 2023, Hyatt assaulted, resisted, and impeded three TIGTA Special Agents in connection with his arrest for the conduct in which he engaged on April 17, 2023.
