Description:
The State of Kansas charged Kevin Reed, age 33, with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and obstruction of official duty arising out of an incident in May of 2013 in which a highway patrol trooper notices a vehicle being driven by a woman without vehicle registration being displayed. The trooper attempted to pull the vehicle over but it sped away. When he finally got the vehicle pulled over, he found Reed in the driver's seat. When he ordered Reed out of the vehicle at gun point, he drove away. The trooper fired four rounds at the vehicle. Reed continued to evade and resit the officer's efforts to arrest him and was found and arrested about an hour later.
