Description:
Automobile Accident. Plaintiffs were travelling on a state highway when Defendant attempted to turn onto a side road from the oppositing direction, turning directly in the path of Plaintiffs' vehicle, crashing into them. Carl Carman suffered bruising and a trip to the emergency room. Mildred Carman suffered a broken leg. The Carmans were senior citizens and Mrs. Carman, as a result of her injuries, was hospitalized and then transferred to a nursing home for further recovery and therapy. She was eventually able to return home, but continued to have difficulty with her mobility because of the leg. The Carmans had to install a wheelchair ramp at the entrance of their home. Medical Expenses totalled more than $25,000.00.
Outcome:
Plaintiffs settled for $104,200.00.
