Melanie Grau, age 27, became a quadriplegic she the car in which she was a passenger during a test drive went out of control and hit a tree. She claimed that the salesman urged her then boyfriend to driver faster with the result that he lost control of the car. Neither the boyfriend nor the salesman were seriously injured in the accident. Grau was however rendered a high level quad making her totally dependent upon others for her daily care.
