Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports that his department is currently investigating the death of a female who is believed to be a Yellville woman that was reported as missing on November 13, 2025, by family members. Sheriff Alexander reports that a deputy was dispatched to a residence located on Broad Rock Lane on Thursday morning and found no signs of the woman or her vehicle. The deputy returned around mid-morning and later in the evening and was able to meet with friends and family members at the residence and subsequently made entry into the residence to look for the woman, who was not located. A missing persons bulletin was issued for the missing woman and her vehicle. On Friday morning, investigators were preparing a search warrant for the property and residence when a family member contacted them and advised they had found the body of the missing woman in a wooded area near the residence.

Sheriff's Office investigators responded to the residence and executed a search warrant for the property and were on the property and the residence until late Friday afternoon completing a search of the property and collecting evidence. The name of the victim is being withheld pending an autopsy to determine positive identification as well as the cause and manner of death.

Investigators followed up with several interviews and are continuing to pursue leads in their investigation. Sheriff Alexander stated that investigators determined the victim's vehicle was missing from the residence and now believe it has been stolen. Investigators have since re-entered the vehicle as stolen into a national law enforcement database. The vehicle is described as a 1999, Chevrolet 4-door Malibu, maroon in color, with Arkansas license plate AWG-63J. Sheriff Alexander stated investigators have identified a person of interest they would like to interview regarding the victim's death. The person of interest has been identified as JIMMY JAY LIVERETT (white male, DOB: 03/25/76). LIVERETT had lived with the victim prior to the discovery of the body.

The Marion County Coroner was called to the scene and took custody of the body and will transfer the body to the Medical Examiner's Section of the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy to determine positive identification, and the cause and manner of death.
