Bloomington, IN - The State of Indiana charged Sean M. Purdy and and Jerry Edward Cox, II with violating 35-42-3-3(a)/F5: Criminal Confinement with bodily injury, 35-42-2-1(c)(1)/F6: Battery Resulting in Moderate Bodily Injury, 35-45-2-1(a)(4)/F6: Intimidation-Same as 7370, but threat is to commit a forcible felony.
Approved information filed and probable cause for the issuance of warrant has been found by the Honorable Judge Fawcett a disinterested and neutral magistrate. Warrant is now ordered issued to the Sheriff of Monroe County, Indiana for arrest of the Defendant. Defendant's bond is $5,000 surety and $500.00 cash bond.
Defendants were charged with assaulting and battering Vauhxx Booker during an encounter at a lake near Bloomington, Indiana on the Fourth of July. Booker claimed that one of the defendants said "get a noose." Booker is African-American.
