Description:
Gary Gauger sued police detectives Gene Lowery, Beverly Hendle and Chris Pandre on a civil rights theory claiming that they concocted a confession and got him convicted of killing his parents. It was later determined that his parents were killed by two motorcycle gang members. Gauger spent three and a half years on death row before he was exonerated. Plaintiff claimed that the three detectives concocted a confession by leaving out important details of an 18-hour interrogation and improperly pressured him into make statements when he was tired that they used to convince a jury that he was guilty.
