Council Bluff, IA - Jury Finds Defendant To Be Habitual Offender



The State of Iowa charged Cedric Whitmire, age 39, with willful injury and domestic abuse and claimed that he should be found to be a habitual offender.



Defendant was arrested after a woman told police that Whitmire was her pimp and that he had injured her in an Omaha hotel after she called 911. The State claimed that Whitmire had transported the woman to Omaha to engage in prostitution.



Whitmire had previous felony convictions for drug and other criminal behavior.
