Carlos Elky Penton, 45, of Hialeah, a contract workers at Miami-Dade County International Airport found a cross body bag that had been left on an American Airlines plane that arrived from North Carolina on June 8th.

The bag contained $12,377.90 worth of valuables, including a Cartier Santos watch and AirPods, according to the report.

The owner of the bag and the watch found the watch for sale on DannysVintageWatches.com.


Danny’s Vintage Watches purchased the watch from Brickell Watches, a Miami-based broker. Brickell Watches had acquired it from another Miami jewelry broker, Consistent Luxury LLC. Consistent Luxury purchased the watch Vera Jewelry, located at 12260 SW Eighth St. Vera Jewelry showed the suspect, Carlos Elky Penton, 45, of Hialeah, had sold the watch there on June 11.

Pention said that another employee at the airport gave him the watch.
