Date: 10-02-2026
Case Number: 1:22-cr-17-4
Judge: Colm F. Connolly
Court: United States District Court for the District of Delaware (New Castle County)
Plaintiff's Attorney: Michelle L. Morgan and Kevin P. Pierce
Defendant's Attorney: Jeremy Ibrahim
Dewayne Alexander, authorized a senseless and depraved crime that stole the life of the victim, a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and member of the Wilmington community,” said U.S. Attorney Benjamin L. Wallace. “Justice was served yesterday when Alexander was sentenced to life imprisonment, a punishment that federal law rightly makes mandatory for heinous crimes like this one. We hope that Alexander’s sentence – the last of six imposed against co-conspirators in this case – will help bring closure to the victim’s family, friends, and neighbors. The U.S. Attorney’s Office and its law-enforcement partners are gratified that justice was done in this case and stand ready to investigate, prosecute, and convict any gang member who threatens to harm the Wilmington community.”
Dwayne Alexander directed brutal violence and killed an innocent man.
