On Dec. 14, 2025, Sonny Reyes Lozano, 38, of Tucson, Arizona, an enrolled member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, confronted the victim as he was walking home. Lozano struck the victim approximately eight times with a metal rod, inflicting serious injuries. The victim sustained a fractured ulna.
Outcome:
The Defendant was found guilty and was sentenced to 60 months in prison, with credit for time served, with three years of supervised release.
