Phoenix, Arizona, criminal defense lawyer represented the Defendant charged with voluntary manslaughter.

Termane Billy Celaya, 20, of McNary, Arizona, was seated in his pickup truck while he argued with the victim, who was his significant other, while she stood outside of the vehicle. During the argument, Celaya backed up the truck and drove it forward, running over and killing the victim. Celaya fled the scene in the vehicle and was later captured by police after leading them on a pursuit.

FBI Phoenix, Pinetop-Lakeside office, and the White Mountain Apache Police Department conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Anthony Church, District of Arizona, Phoenix, handled the prosecution.

Defendant was committed to the custody of the Bureau of Prisons for a term of NINETY-SEVEN (97) MONTHS, with credit for time served, to run concurrently to White Mountain Apache Tribal Court, Docket No. CR-2024-0358.
