Description:
Fayetteville, Arkansas, criminal defense lawyer represented the Defendant charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

On November 21, 2024, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a call of an armed person at an apartment complex. A witness reported that David Robinson, age 21, arrived at the apartment complex, made verbal threats and exposed a handgun in his waistband. Officers subsequently located Robinson, searched his residence based on his parole search waiver and located a Glock .40 caliber pistol. Robinson has an extensive criminal history and is considered an Armed Career Criminal under Federal Law based on his prior felony convictions for violent offenses.

United States Attorney Kimberly D. Harris of the Western District of Arkansas made the announcement.

The Fayetteville Police Department, the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case.

Assistant United States Attorney David Harris prosecuted the case for the United States.
Outcome:
The Defendant was found guilty and was sentenced to imprisonment for a term of two hundred ten (210) months. Supervised release for a term of three (3) years. Fine of $900 and special assessment of $100 ordered.
