Mobile, Alabama, criminal defense lawyer represented the Defendant charged with capital murder and sexual torture.

Blackston broke into the home of Troy Barnhill on Jan. 3, 2021. Barnhill was asleep in his bedroom when Blackston began to beat him with a metal pipe, then sexually tortured him with the pipe. Barnhill suffered severe internal injuries and lacerations to multiple organs.

"The facts of this case reveal an extraordinary level of cruelty and violence," said Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood. "This defendant violated every sense of human decency, and today's outcome reflects our commitment to holding offenders fully accountable and protecting the people of Alabama."
