Wilson's August 2023 trial, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Wilson's house on August 10, 2022. During the search, agents found over 1,000 grams of cocaine and 2 firearms, along with over $20,000 in cash. Wilson had previously been convicted of felony offenses, including a federal drug trafficking offense, and was prohibited from possessing a firearm. As for the cocaine, when it returned its verdict, the trial jury determined that Wilson possessed the cocaine with the intent distribute.
The DEA, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Elmore County Drug Task Force investigated this case, which Assistant United States Attorneys Justin L. Jones and Joshua J. Wendell prosecuted.
Defendant was found guilty and was sentenced to 32 years in prison, followed by 8 years of supervised release.
