Birmingham, Alabama criminal defense lawyer represented the Defendant charged with child sex abuse.



Antonio Williams was charged with child sex abuse of his daughter who lived with her grandfather who had custody of the child.



In 2003, one of his daughters was diagnosed of being infected with a sexually transmitted disease.



The State claimed that Williams has raped the girl and have improperly touched her between the ages of 3 and six.



Pleaded not guilty.



In 2011, the girl recanted her statements and accused another man of abusing her.







Outcome:
Defendant was found guilty and was sentenced to life in prison.



Defendant's conviction was set aside on May 16, 2011.



Defendant's daughter claimed that she never said that her father had abused her but was led into implicating him by a counselor who suggested information to her.
