Description: Oklahoma City, OK - Oklahoma House of Representatives Settled Sexual Harassment Claim

Hollie Anne Bishop sued the State of Oklahoma on a governmental tort claim theory claiming that she had been sexually harassed by Republic Representative Dan Kirby. Bishop worked for Kirby as an administrative assistant.

Ms. Bishop claimed that Kirby, age 58, started harassing her shortly after she started working for him in January 2015. She claimed that his actions were unwanted and unwarranted and that his conduct created a hostile work environment for her. She complained to the House Human Resources Department which resulted in Kirby stopping communicating with her and fired her in November 2015.

Outcome: Settled for $44,500
