Description:
Trade regulation - Plaintiff claimed that defendant used a "bogus" Internet site
and used "deceit and trickery" in the creating and maintenance of Internet
domain sites named "jewsfor jesus.org" and "jews-for-jesus.com". Plaintiff
claimed that Defendant deliberately diverted Internet users to the Internet
site established by Defendant thereby causing irreparable harm to Plaintiff in violation of
federal, state and common laws governing trademarks and unfair competition.
Outcome:
Preliminary injunction issued by the Court because it appeared likely
that Plaintiff would ultimately prevail on the merits.
