Charles O'Brien Teague v. Marshall Pike, et al.

Raleigh, North Carolina pro se Plaintiff sued the Defendants on a prisoner civil rights violation theory under 42 U.S.C. 1983.



Most prisoner civil rights cases are generally predicated on violation of the 8th Amendment. They are very fact driven and are very hard to win.

11/03/2023 91 CLERK'S JUDGMENT - Decision by the court. IT IS ORDERED, ADJUDGED and DECREED that on January 18, 2022, plaintiff's claims against defendant Jimmy Dorman were dismissed.



Decision by Jury. Plaintiff's claims came before the court for trial by jury. The issues have been tried and the jury rendered its verdict on November 2, 2023.

IT IS ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that the jury unanimously finds that defendants Assistant Warden Marshall Pike and Sergeant Scott Velasco did not use excessive force against plaintiff Charles O'Brien Teague on December 3, 2020.

IT IS ORDERED, ADJUDGED and DECREED that Plaintiff shall recover nothing and this action is dismissed.
