United States of America v. Jared Marsh

Jared Marsh, age 49, of Santa Clara, Utah, was in possession of child pornography. Law enforcement executed a search warrant on Marsh’s phone after being contacted by a victim who reported Marsh had sexually explicit photos of her without her consent. In reviewing the contents of Marsh’s phone, law enforcement found approximately 20 photographs of children ranging in age from 12 to 17 years old that had been digitally altered to make the children appear to be completely nude. The investigation revealed that the photos were first placed on the phone shortly after Marsh had completed a probationary term for a State of Utah misdemeanor voyeurism conviction.

Defendant placed in BOP custody for a term of 60 months. Upon release, defendant placed on supervised release for a term of Life. Standard and special conditions of supervision imposed. $100.00 Special Assessment imposed and due immediately. $17,000.00 AVAA Assessment Imposed No fine imposed.
