Sioux Falls,South Dakota traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a Minor charge criminal defense lawyer represented Defendant.



Nathan Paul Grondahl, age 25, was charged with traveling from his home in Minnesota to Hartford, South Dakota, for the purpose of engaging in illegal sexual conduct with a 13-year old female. Grondahl had met the minor on social media and had been communicating with her for a few days. Grondahl also requested that the minor female send him nude pictures of herself.



This case was investigated by the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey C. Clapper prosecuted the case.

Defendant was sentenced 135 moths in prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release, and a special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund in the amount of $5,100.
