Eloy Flores-Zuniga, 31, a citizen of Mexico who resided in Fort Atkinson, Wis., was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for illegally reentering the United States. Flores-Zuniga pleaded guilty to this offense on December 12, 2016.



This was the defendant’s third federal conviction for illegally reentering the United States. In giving the defendant a 15-month sentence, Judge Conley indicated that the defendant had not been deterred by shorter sentences he had received in the past.



The charge against Flores-Zuniga was the result of an investigation conducted by U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement.
