Description:
Roanoke, Virginia, criminal defense lawyer represented the Defendant charged with selling ten firearms, including a short-barrel shotgun, to an undercover source working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Between February 2025 and August 2025, ATF utilized a confidential source to conduct seven separate controlled purchases involving a total of ten firearms from Alcides Castro-Martinez, 42, . On each occasion, Castro-Martinez personally delivered the firearms to the confidential source.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is investigating the case.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Keith Parrella and Special Assistant United States Attorney Juan Vega, an Assistant Attorney General with the Virginia Attorney General’s Office are prosecuting the case.
