On August 14, 2024, law enforcement, using a confidential source, arranged the purchase of one pound of methamphetamine from Sancheze Roberts, age 28. Roberts agreed to deliver the methamphetamine to the confidential source at a series of locations dictated by Roberts. Roberts traveled to the location, and when law enforcement surrounded his vehicle, he attempted to flee. Law enforcement ultimately apprehended Roberts and located 401.4 grams of methamphetamine and 12.5 grams of fentanyl in his vehicle.<br>

Paul McCaffrey, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky; and Jim Scott, Special Agent in Charge, DEA, Louisville Field Division, jointly announced the sentence.<br>

The investigation was conducted by the DEA. Assistant U.S. Attorney James T. Chapman prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.
