United States of America v. Jesse Herbig

Jesse Herbig, age 44, admitted that in 2022 he communicated with his drug supplier and arranged for a United States Postal Service Priority Express parcel which he knew contained methamphetamine to be shipped from Phoenix, Ariz. to an address in Rockford. The package contained approximately 891.6 grams of methamphetamine that was approximately 99% pure, a substance commonly known as “ice.”

U.S. District Judge Iain D. Johnston imposed a 168-month prison sentence during a hearing today in federal court in Rockford.

The sentence was announced by Andrew S. Boutros, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, and Ruth Mendonça, Inspector-in-Charge of the Chicago Division of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. The Rockford Police Department assisted in the investigation. The government was represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lisa R. Munch.

The defendant is hereby committed to the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons to be imprisoned for a total term of 168 months.
