Merrier A. Jackson Tartt is a Black woman with years of experience as an educator. She served for a time as principal of Junction City High School, which is part of the Unified School District No. 475 (the District) in the state of Kansas. After the District refused to renew her contract, Ms. Tartt sued the District for racial discrimination and retaliation under 42 U.S.C. § 1981 and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

sentences 6 through 8, and all of paragraph 12 of Ms. Toomey’s affidavit, and<br>
(ii) its grant of summary judgment to the District on the discrimination claim<br>
brought under Title VII was reversed and REMANDED for further<br>
proceedings. Otherwise AFFIRMED.
