Oakmont Woman Sentenced to Prison for Embezzling Quarter of a Million Dollars from Employer Over Five-Year Period
A resident of Oakmont, Pennsylvania, was convicted of bank fraud, Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced today.
Christy Myers, 64, through a variety of methods, embezzled approximately $250,400 from her employer between April 2016 and June 2021. Myers had been previously convicted and sentenced to a term in federal prison in connection with a mortgage fraud scheme in 2007.
Assistant United States Attorney Brendan T. Conway prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
Acting United States Attorney Rivetti commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Myers.
