Elkhart, Indiana criminal defense lawyer represented the Defendant charged with attempted murder.
In the early morning hours of April 17, 2022, Dentrell Brown shot Lamondra Townsend ("JR") and Saadallah Altameemi ("Dallah"). JR suffered injuries to his leg, and Dallah suffered serious injuries that required emergency care and surgery. The State subsequently charged Brown with Level 1 felony attempted murder, Level 3 felony aggravated battery, and Level 6 felony criminal recklessness. The State also filed a firearm enhancement, alleging that Brown had used a firearm in commission of both the attempted murder and the aggravated battery. Brown pled guilty to the firearm enhancement, and the jury found him guilty of attempted murder and criminal recklessness. The trial court sentenced Brown to an aggregate fifty-four-year sentence.
