Phoenix, AZ - Navajo Man Sentenced to 19 Years for Child Molestation
Raymond S. Tsosie, 53, of Burnside, Ariz., a member of the Navajo Nation, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Diane J. Humetewa to 229 months in prison. Tsosie had previously pleaded guilty to abusive sexual contact with a child under the age of 12 years old.
Tsosie’s conduct included sexually abusing a five-year-old girl, an eight-year-old girl, and a nine-year-old girl in 2014. Tsosie was also ordered to have 20 years of supervised release following his term of imprisonment, which will include sex offender treatment and registration. All victims are members of the Navajo Nation and all incidents occurred on the Navajo Reservation.
The investigation in this case was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
