Alex Baldwin allegedly harmed the Plaintiffs by chastising them on social media over the January 6, 2021, insurreciton at the U.S. Capitol Building.



Rylee McCollum and 12 other Marines were killed in a suicide bombing at the Kabul airport in the last days of the U.S. war in Afghanistan in 2021. Baldwin sent the family a $5,000 check to help in the aftermath.



The Plaintiffs claimed that Baldwin exposed them to a flood of social media hatred in 2022 by claming that Roice McCullum was an "insurrectionist" for participating in the events in Washington on January 6th.
