Additional Information: Jeri Cain began her reporting career in 1972 in Los Angeles. She worked as a pro tem reporter in LA Superior Court and freelanced for various deposition agencies in the Los Angeles area before choosing the San Luis Obispo lifestyle. The reporting firm Jeri worked for split their workload between court and depositions, giving her the unique experience of both reporting worlds. In 1974 Jeri formed her own company called Merit Reporting & Video. She holds the NCRA designations of Registered Merit Reporter and Certified Realtime Reporter, as well as DRA's Certified Realtime Professional. Through working with reporters and personnel over the past several decades, Jeri brings a balance of sound leadership and people skills to DRA. She has donated her time to the Central Coast Shorthand Reporters Association, holding each office more than once. She was District 8 representative for DRA the past three years and is vice president this year. In Jeri's casual life she enjoys flower arranging, interior decorating, hiking and cross-country skiing.
