Additional Information: Richard Skelton was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. He has been helping people in the greater Miami Valley area with simple and complex legal matters for over twenty years. He is a graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law in 1988 and licensed by the Supreme Court of Ohio in 1988. Richard Skelton is admitted to practice in Ohio, State and Federal Courts. He has made limited appearances in other states for selected cases. Richard Skelton is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Dayton Bar Association. He serves on the Ethics Committee for the Dayton Bar Association. In addition, Richard Skelton has appeared on local television shows devoted to legal issues and is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Dayton School of Law teaching students the finer and practical points of trial practice.

Richard S. Skelton quickly became known and respected in the greater Dayton, Ohio as a top notch litigator in both civil and criminal cases. He received special consideration by the Supreme Court of Ohio in 1991 when they made a rule exception by approving his appointment on a death penalty murder case after only practicing two years. Skelton had already successfully represented Defendants in two murder cases resulting in acquittals. In addition, Richard Skelton quickly started taking on insurance companies by representing persons hurt in auto accidents or negligence involving hospital or physician malpractice.
