Dan Bromberg

Dan Bromberg is a civil appellate specialist based in Northern California. A founding member of the firm’s appellate practice, Dan has argued before the United States Supreme Court, state supreme courts, the Ninth Circuit and other federal courts of appeals, and California Courts of Appeal throughout the State. An expert in practice before the United States Supreme Court who is often asked to comment on recent developments in the Court, Dan has filed over three dozen briefs in the Supreme Court, including a remarkable six successful petitions for certiorari. A certified California appellate law specialist and member of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers, Dan is also an expert on all aspects of California appellate practice, including writ petitions and petitions for review, and regularly teaches continuing education classes on California appellate practice.

Dan is experienced in numerous substantive areas, including patents, trademarks, and other aspects of intellectual property; commercial and financial disputes; transnational disputes, antitrust; and constitutional law. In addition, as a result of the firm’s extensive trial practice, Dan has unusual experience in dealing with appeals from completed trials and in dealing with large trial verdicts, overturning, among other things, a $188 million judgment and a $200 million judgment as well as successfully defending numerous multimillion awards.
