Additional Information: Carlos Bernardo Salup was born in Miami, Florida and is fluent in English and Spanish. He graduated from Miami’s Christopher Columbus High School and later attended the University of Florida where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in legal systems and a B.A. in Criminology with a concentration in jurisprudence. He spent three of his four summers in college clerking for the Honorable Mercedes Bach in Miami-Dade County. Carlos graduated from St. Thomas University’s School of Law in May of 2006. He served as the Captain of the Mock Trial Team and was awarded the law school’s inaugural Top Advocate Award for his performance.

Carlos began his employment as a law clerk in May of 2004 and passed the Florida Bar in September of 2006. As a civil trial lawyer, he handled a caseload that varied from civil rights violations to construction defect claims. In addition to handling complex commercial disputes, Carlos has concentrated his practice on representing individuals severely injured and the family members who have lost a loved one due to the negligence of others.
