Additional Information: Michael J. LeVangie was born in Milton, Massachusetts on January 22, 1965 and admitted to the California Bar and the United States District Court, Eastern and Northern Districts of California in 1992 and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth District and the Supreme Court of the United States in 1997. He was educated at The University of Tulsa, San Francisco State University (B.A. 1988) and the Golden Gate University School of Law (J.D. 1992, LL.M (International Studies) with honors 1995). Mr. LeVangie is a recipient of the Grotius Award for Excellence in International Law (1995); the Economist International Oralist Award (1996) and the AJS Negotiation and Counseling Award (2000). Mr. LeVangie is a member of the Center for International Dispute Resolution (President, 1994-1997) the Defense Research Institute, CAHSA and the AMA. His areas of specialty include extended care facility defense, professional liability, motor sport and leisure liability, products liability, complex construction defect litigation, and corporate governance.
