Additional Information: Mr. Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania (1977) and he received his Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law (1980). Mr. Ross also attended Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy in 1975-1976, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Ross has practiced primarily civil litigation defense law in southern New Jersey since 1981. He continues to represent insurance carriers, large self-insured entities, as well as small and medium-sized corporations. He is credited with numerous appearances before the New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division, Appellate Division and the New Jersey Supreme Court as well as the federal courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and is a member of the bar of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Ross is a member of the American Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers and the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Camden, Burlington and Philadelphia Bar Associations.
Mr. Ross is on the panel of arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association and has been appointed as a federal arbitrator by the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and has been appointed by the civil assignment judges of Camden and Burlington counties as an arbitrator in the state court system.
Recently, Mr. Ross was appointed by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York to establish and manage an Alternative Dispute Resolution Program for a large department store retailer in Bankruptcy. This program disposed of approximately 200 general liability cases in two years of great savings to the client.
Mr. Ross specializes in all phases of civil litigation, arbitrations and jury trials, as well as administrative appeals before state and federal tribunals. His law concentration is in the area of general negligence liability, insurance law, medical malpractice, as well as commercial, construction, personal injury, products liability, federal tort claims, unfair competition, wrongful discharge and real estate cases.
Mr. Ross also specializes in workers compensation subrogation cases, in which substantial recoveries have been made for insurance carries on workers compensation liens.
