Additional Information: Erik is an associate in Day Pitney's Commercial Litigation department. Erik regularly represents clients before state and federal courts, as well as state administrative agencies, and has experience defending cases alleging, among others, business torts, contractual disputes, products liability, defamation, professional malpractice, as well as due process claims under section 1983. Erik's clients include several Fortune 100 companies as well as large national banks and finance companies, local savings and loan associations, commercial real estate brokers, municipalities, educational institutions, local media, and both local and national trade associations.

One of the unique aspects of Erik's practice is his involvement in the amusement, carnival and leisure industry. Erik has represented a national amusement trade association before the Connecticut Department of Public Safety in a regulatory matter as well as a local Connecticut municipality in leisure-related litigation. Erik is one of only a handful of attorneys nationwide that has hands-on, high-level day-to-day operating experience in this industry. Prior to becoming an attorney, Erik spent several years working in operations management for two of the largest and most respected amusement operators in the world, Cedar Fair Entertainment Company and Universal Orlando. Erik has practical experience with virtually every aspect of the daily operation of an amusement enterprise, as well as with the development of new parks and attractions from the ground up. Building on Erik's practical experience in the industry, while attending law school, Erik honed his legal skills working with one of the preeminent adventure-industry attorneys in the country on a variety of industry-related litigation and legislative matters. Erik is a member of the New England Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions.

Erik received his undergraduate degree in drama from The Catholic University of America in 1995 and his J.D, magna cum laude, from George Mason University School of Law in 2005. Erik remains active in the arts community and serves on the board of directors for the Artists Collective, the only multi-arts and cultural organization of its kind in Connecticut emphasizing the cultural and artistic contributions of the African Diaspora.
